A new CD and cassette of Persian classical music released in August of 2005.

Mohammad Molla Aghaie is one of the best students of my father, maestro Nasrollah Nasehpour. He is the vocalist of the CD, "Bidar Delan". His voice is really unique! The composer, conductor, soloist of the CD is Majid Derakhshani that is one of the most famous tar players of Iran.

Majid Derakhshani was born in 1956 in Semnan. He became seriously involved in music at the age of nineteen, when he attended the Evening Music Conservatory at Tehran.

In 1976 he began to study music at the School of Fine Arts (University of Tehran). In 1977 he joined the Sheyda Ensemble. He was also a member of the Chavosh cultural Foundation since its creation.

He taught Tar and Setar at Chavosh, Roudaki, and the Technical Faculty of Tehran. In 1985, he founded the Nava ensemble and gave many concerts all over Europe. Toghether with other musicians, he also founded in 1991 the Nava Music Centre in Cologne (Köln) of Germany.

He owes his achievements to Mohammad Reza Lotfi, his former Tar master.

Listen to a piece of the CD

In fact the poem of "bidar delan" belongs to Mrs. Dolatabadi that is one of the most famous female contemporary poets.

Many news agencies and newspapers reported about the release of the CD such as IRNA, ILNA, Mehr News, SYNA, ISCA News, Shargh Newspaper, Ettelaat Newspaper:
